Alu-CAD is an intelligent library containing all Alusett parts. It runs with AutoCAD Version 14 on Windows 95/98 and NT 4.0.

Alu-CAD includes dynamic construction supports that are available at any stage of the design. All functions can be easily accessed by dialog boxes; therefore, eliminating the use of AutoCAD's command line. The connections between the profiles are controlled automatically. An error message is displayed when an incorrect construction is used. Panels can be inserted just by selecting the related posts and rails.

Alu-CAD offers two choices of display:

• Construction mode: all drawings are shown as lines
• Presentation mode: products are displayed as their actual shape.

All the components are shown in 3D. Photo quality pictures may be generated with suitable rendering software.

A parts list is available when required. This can be easily transferred to common spread sheet programs for individual processing.
